Payment and Refund Policy

Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 02 November 2026

Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses, subscriptions, and related professional resources offered through itemify. The services focus on studio production in motion, including studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and sound waves, and workflows for television news and live shows. It covers both one-time course access and recurring subscription plans. The policy governs transactions made by customers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed, contracts formed, and refunds handled under applicable UK law.

Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Prices include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Additional charges may apply for optional add-ons such as extended access periods or supplementary materials. itemify reserves the right to adjust prices, but changes will not affect existing confirmed orders. Customers are responsible for any currency conversion fees imposed by their payment provider.

Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security

We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. All transactions are secured using industry-standard encryption and comply with UK data protection requirements including the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR. itemify does not store full card details; processing is handled by certified third-party providers.

Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed

A contract is formed when you receive an order confirmation email following successful payment. This confirmation outlines the specific course or subscription purchased, access details, and applicable terms. Until this point, no binding agreement exists. Access to digital content begins immediately upon confirmation unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase for most digital products. You may cancel within this period for a full refund provided you have not started accessing or downloading the content. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time, with access continuing until the end of the paid period.

Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services

Refunds are available for unused digital courses within the cooling-off period or if technical issues prevent access. Exclusions include content already downloaded or streamed, promotional bundles, and customised services. Non-refundable items also cover any fees paid for expedited support or certification upon completion.

The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund

To request a refund, contact info@nfts.co.uk with your order number, full name, and reason for the request. Include details of the purchased item and any relevant transaction reference. Requests must be submitted in writing via the contact form on our Contacts page or by email. We require proof of purchase and may ask for additional verification.

Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision

Each request is reviewed within 10 working days. We assess eligibility based on the policy terms and usage data. You will receive written notification of approval or rejection, including reasons if denied. Approved refunds proceed to processing; rejected cases include guidance on alternatives such as account credit.

Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes 5 to 10 working days after approval, though bank processing may extend this to 14 days. You will be notified once the refund is initiated. For subscriptions, pro-rated refunds apply only in specific cases of service failure.

Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant

Digital content access is granted immediately, limiting cancellation rights once consumption begins. Subscription renewals are automatic unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are non-refundable beyond standard cooling-off rules. Any service interruptions due to platform maintenance are addressed through extensions rather than refunds.

Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud

Failed payments result in order cancellation with notification. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded promptly upon verification. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests but may incur administrative review. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to account suspension and reporting to relevant UK authorities while preserving consumer rights.

Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR. These include remedies for faulty digital content and the right to cancel distance contracts. Nothing in this policy excludes liability for negligence or fraud.

Contact route, policy changes, and last-updated date
